  Item and Explanation

1.

The Calendar has 2 display modes - Monthly and Detail . The primary difference is in the visibility and access of event detail.

The Monthly view shows every event title on the day of the event.  Clicking the title opens a window with the event information.

The Detail view shows no event titles but allows display of all events for a week by selecting the week range link.  This view is accessed by clicking the  Detail Event Search button. Once in this view, clicking on the Month link at the top of the week range columns returns to the Monthly view.

Also available in the Detail view are additional options for finding events - Search by Keyword and Sort By.  Give these a try so that you understand the different ways that you can retrieve information.

2.

Only one month at a time is presented in either view.

To change the month in the Monthly view, use the drop down box for month, click on the desired month, and click the View button.

In the Detail view, arrow links are used to move to the next or prior month.

3.

Submit an Event.  This is an extremely helpful function because it allows you to make an entry of an event and thus allows us to have an extensive calendar without a huge burden on our webmaster.

Clicking on the Submit an Event button provides you with a form to complete and submit.  We have enabled an option that sends an email to our webmaster about the submission and requires an acceptance to actually activate the event on the calendar.  This is critical to avoid trash ending up on the calendar.

The following link provides you with a format to use in creating an event so that all information is provided.  Please print it out and use it as a guide.
