The competition is conducted according to the rules of the International Committee of Pipe Clubs (CIPC) .

Contestants from UPCA member clubs will be considered for membership on the US National Pipe Smoking Team to compete in international contests.

Is there a "secret technique" to winning a smoking contest? Of course - smoke slowly!!  However packing your pipe correctly is critical to obtaining a long smoke. See our Preparing to Compete pages to learn how.
